Update 3-25-20:

Dear Parents,

As you may have heard, the Governor  has announced an extension of the school closures to Friday, May 1st, with a reopening date of Monday, May 4, 2020. All Stoughton Extended Day programs will remain closed through this mandatory closure.   This includes our April Vacation Program. Anyone who registered will not be charged for this program. Again, please do not send any payments for future care of any SED programs.   We can figure all this out once we return to school.

We are in the process of finalizing our information for Summer Camp, the Fall 2020-2021 Before and After school Programs and our Preschool Program. We'll send this out as soon as its ready.

COVID-19 Update 3-16-20

Dear Parents,

I hope everyone is healthy and was able to make arrangement for this upcoming three week and 1 day shutdown.  All programs will now be closed from Monday,  March 16, 2020 through Monday,  April 6, 2020, with all programs opening back up Tuesday April 7, 2020. If there is anything we can do to help, please reach out to me and we'll do whatever we can to support you. Please check the school department's  website for the latest information and resources that are available to the community. The link is https://www.stoughtonschools.org/covid-19-updates.

There's  a total of 16 service days during the shutdown. The school system is adding 4 days to the end of the school year in June, the same as if we had snow days. So you will receive those 4 service days back. The other 12 days are effectively cancelled. We will not be charging for those missed days. We will offer a credit to your account based on the number of days of service you will be missing. This credit will not be issued until after the shutdown is over.

Our hope is that the  school closure will not continue after April 6, 2020, and we will reopen on Tuesday morning April 7, 2020. If anything changes we will reevaluate at that time. Our goal is not to add any undue burden to you and your family during this difficult period.

We are working with our staff to help make sure they get through this difficult time as well. We continue to pay our necessary expenses  and everything else that keeps the program running,  so please know that this is effecting us as well. The school system has generously waived our rent during the shutdown period to help get us through this.

If you have any questions or concerns please feel free to e-mail me  at info@stoughtonextendedday.org  We will try to help in any way possible.

Thank you for your patience.

Stay healthy!

Alan
