Look What's New at Camp This Summer
This year, the entire Jones School cafeteria will
We will offer walking trips to Dunkin Donuts for
grades 5-8 every Monday and Friday morning!
We’ll take a weekly (optional) trip to the BRAND NEW Stoughton Library!
there will be at least one SPECIAL AFTERNOON ACTIVITY planned for when we
return from our trip!
We will have a new Electronics Area at camp,
complete with new video games and new video game systems!
The Middle Schoolers will be going on some BRAND NEW trips including a
new cooking trip and an Escape Room!
We will be offering brand new weekly
clubs (no sign up or extra fees required) including Karaoke Club, Fitness Club,
Dance Club, and
As always, we will be premiering a brand new S.E.D. Music Video at the end of the summer!
BUT don’t WORRY! Not everything is changing! We’ll
still have weekly swim lessons, two daily snacks, awesome art projects, water
balloons, special treats, Bucket Ball, tons of music, and, of course, we’ll
still be offering all your favorite trips and activities!
Stoughton Extended Day's Summer Camp and
vacation programs are held at the Edwin A. Jones
School. We offer programs for children in kindergarten
through eighth grade. We also offer a counselor in training
program for past campers ages 13 and up. Children do not have to
attend Stoughton Schools to participate in our camps.
We have field trips almost every
day, swimming lessons on Fridays
at a local swimming pool. Daily activities include arts and crafts
projects, outdoor games, sports and field events, and our playground
is right out our back door. We also have outdoor basketball hoops
and our very own fun house.
We are conveniently located at the Edwin Jones
Elementary School (lower level) accessed from the rear of the building via Park
Ave., off Route 27. We serve children entering Grades K through 8, who
live in Stoughton or surrounding towns. Staff to child ratio is 10 to 1
or better (Ages 6 or older). Age 6 or younger 5 to 1, *children with
mild disabilities 4 to 1, and 2 to 1 for severely disabled children
(*extra charges may apply). This vacation program complies with
regulations of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health and
is licensed by the local Board of Health (105 CMR 430). Copies of our
health care, behavior management, and background check policies are
available upon request.
Hours of Operation:
We are open from 7:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday through
Friday (Closed on July 4th and 5th). Middle
School Children (Grades 6, 7 and 8) - We
will be offering alternate field trips for this age group throughout the
summer. Not on every trip, but we will do our best to keep them
Counselor in Training Program: (SORRY -FULL FOR THE SUMMER OF 2019)
We offer a CIT program for children entering 7thgrade
or higher who are interested in working with the younger kids and learning how
to be a counselor, babysitter, or getting prepared for their future in the job
market. Your child must apply and be selected to participate in this program.
