Upcoming Information

- Fall 2022-2023 Before and After school Registrations has begun.    Just send in your registration form before June 1, 2022. No deposit needed. We’ll send you a confirmation and all the remaining forms to fill out. The emergency forms and September’s payment will need to be submitted by August 10, 2022 to reserve a spot.  The Before school programs will continue at each of the five elementary schools.  The After school programs we utilizing the Dawe and Hansen Schools for our two after school locations. The school department has asked us to move back to the Hansen School for the upcoming school year.   The Dawe and Hansen school children stay at their schools. The South school children will go to the Dawe Site. The Gibbons and Wilkins schools will go to the Hansen Site. O'Donnell Middle School children can pick either the Dawe or Hansen Site.  Download the 2022-2023 registration form below for more infomation.

-Summer Camp 2022 Registration has began.  Camp will be open Monday through Friday 7:30AM – 6:00PM, from Wednesday June 22 – Wednesday August 31. We are conveniently located at the Gibbons Elementary School, 235 Morton St. Stoughton, MA 02072. We serve children entering Grades K through 8, who live in Stoughton or surrounding towns. Please download the registration forms below for more information.

-Thursday May 5, 2022 is an Early Thursday. Stoughton Schools will dismiss all Elementary schools at 12:20PM. The O'Donnell Middle school will be dismissed at 11:32AM. Our after school program will are open from school dismissal till 6:00PM.

-If you need to notify us that your child will be absent for after school please call your main site,(where your child ends up) either the Dawe site at 781-570-6022 or the Gibbons site is 781-760-0184. Leave a message and when the staff arrive we let all the SED staff know. If you prefer you can send an email to info@stoughtonextendedday.org. Remember to do this before 2:00PM if possible. The kids get out at 2:45PM.

- We are accepting waiting list applications for the Fall 2022-2023 Preschool classrooms.  All classrooms are full at this time.

Toddler and Preschool Program

Established in September 2003 The Preschool at Stoughton Extended Day is certified by the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) for demonstrating excellence in preschool education and care.  We offer year round full and half day programs for children from 15 months to pre-kindergarten at 76 Pierce Street, Stoughton.  We are conveniently located near Stoughton Center, parks, playgrounds, the public library and main thorough fares.  You will find our program professional, convenient, competitively priced and loads of fun for your little one. Before and After School

Program Hours: (Before and After School):
We offer a before school program directly at each of the five elementary schools in town. The Before School Program opens at 7:00a.m. every day school is in session. Our After School Programs are open from school dismissal for grades K-8, until 6:00p.m. every day school is in session. This includes Early Thursdays and all other early dismissals. We are closed on holidays, snow days, and vacation weeks in accordance with the public school’s schedule. For an additional fee, we do offer programs during December, February and April vacations, as well as Summer Camp. Program Locations: (After School) Our after school program operates out of two schools: the Dawe School, 131 Pine Street, and the Hansen School, 1800 Central Street. Upon dismissal from school, SED staff meet the children at each school. The children are then transported to the appropriate site by an SED program school bus. *The Dawe and Hansen school children stay at their schools. The South school children go to the Dawe Site. The Gibbons and Wilkins schools go to the Hansen Site. O'Donnell Middle School children can pick either the Dawe or Hansen Site.


Program Cost:
A non-refundable $25 fee is due upon registration (one per family). There is a 20% discount for additional children.

•All prices include transportation to the site, on-site activities.
•A thirty-day written notice is required before withdrawal or decrease in enrollment.
•READ THIS! Tuition is based on a 180-day school year. Tuition payments remain the same each month regardless of vacation days, snow days, holidays, etc. Payments are averaged over the 10-month school year.•Additional emergency days (regular afternoon or Early Thursday) for those already enrolled in the program can be purchased for an additional $35.00 for After School; $11.50 for Before School. Simply contact your site coordinator and notify your child’s school.


Staffing:
A site coordinator monitors the site and handles the day-to-day operation of the program. We offer child-to-staff ratios of 13:1 or better. All staff are trained and hired in accordance with Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) regulations and guidelines. All staff are also CPR and first aid certified, and BRC screened to insure your child’s safety.

Please fill them out and either e-mail it or mail it back to us along with the first month’s payment and the $25 registration fee to: Stoughton Extended Day, P. O. Box 257, Stoughton, MA 02072-0257. Payments:
All payments are due on or before the first of each month. Any payment not received by the first of the month will be considered late and you will be responsible for a $20 per month late fee. There will be a $20 service charge for any returned check. Additionally, should your account become delinquent and we are forced to turn it over for collection you will be responsible for all collection costs as well as reasonable attorney fees. Tuition fees may be subject to change. A 30-day notice will be given.

Summer Vacation Camp

S.E.D. Information: Stoughton Extended Day is a private, non-profit organization started by parents in 1989. We provide a safe, fun, educational environment for your children. 

•We are conveniently located at the Gibbons Elementary School, 235 Morton St. Stoughton, MA 02072•We serve children entering Grades K through 8, who live in Stoughton or surrounding towns.•Staff to child ratio is 10 to 1 or better for all ages.
•This vacation program complies with regulations of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, is licensed by the local Board of Health.

 We offer a CIT program for children entering 7th grade or higher who are interested in working with the younger campers. This program is great for learning how to be a counselor, babysitter, or getting prepared for a future in the job market. Go to our website stoughtonextendedday.org for more information. Hours of Operation:
Camp will be open Mon. through Fri. 7:30AM – 6:00PM, from Wednesday June 22 – Wednesday August 31. We will be closed for July 4th holiday Mon. 7/4/22.

Activities:
We have become well known for our fabulous field trips all over eastern Massachusetts! We have a field trip or on-site activity scheduled every day. We will once again offer multiple field trips every week! Field trips may include: ponds, zoos, parks, playgrounds, hiking, boating, movies, bowling, rollerskating, museums, aquariums and much more! Our on-site days will also be filled with tons of fun! Each on-site day will have a special event, activity, or challenge for everyone to enjoy!  As always, we'll offer daily art projects, games, outdoor play, music and dancing, moonwalk, sports and playground activities.

Schedule/Fees:
S.ED. is the most flexible camp around!  You pick the days you want! We do except voucher.  All-inclusive pricing includes full day from 7:30-6:00,field trip and all on site activities. The cost of camp is $350.00 per week or $70 per day. Payments are required to be made in full four weeks in advance.  Additional child(immediate family) discount of 20%.
